Cosprayers is an abbreviation for "Cosmopolitan Prayers" and, of course, a pun on the word cosplayers in Japanese. Our main character, the Japanese Cosprayer, Koto, is cosplaying on a trip to the Izumo shrine when she finds a bracelet that leads her up a very long set of stairs to a sacred place where she is imbued with the power to transform and join the ISO (International Shaman Organization) in fighting off the demons that are plaguing the Earth. It turns out Takitsuhime, the daughter of Ameterasu, has chosen her to resurrect said goddess, and return the world to normal. Koto has always wanted to be a heroine who always does what's right and can stand up for herself, but being thrown into becoming one like this...?
